I love clicking on the “About Page” when I encounter new sites. Sometimes you’ll get a map with a short paragraph like “Acme, Inc. is an engineering company located in the heart of Nashville. We focus on customer service”. Other times you’ll get 4 of 5 profiles of the people that work there.
So in putting this page together, I’ve been trying to figure out what it is you wanted to learn when you pressed the “About” button. Since we do a variety of seemingly unrelated things, I thought I’d start there:
- Our primary business is helping local businesses learn how to treat the internet like a business tool – not a business card. We do educational seminars, private group meetings and guest speak in various forums. We also serve local clients in that capacity filling all their needs for Local Search.
- Creating products and selling them through affiliates and through search engine optimization is one of our ancillary profit centers. It’s fun to see one of your own creations become successful on the internet.
- The development and monetization of niche websites rounds out our top three profit centers. Finding a niche that’s profitable and worthy of time spent is not difficult. Finding the time to make a niche site profitable is the challenge.We’d be more than happy to help you develop any of these skills.
DanMorrisMarketing.com serves many functions for us – but is only one of our sites. The “store front” area of the site just serves as our business card. It’s not been optimized for the search engines, and is a pretty new addition to our lineup. However, on the backend of this site, registered affiliates can track their sales and learn about promoting our new products.
Lettersfromdan.com is our blog. Most of the traffic we drive to learn more about us is through Letters From Dan. We’d rather your first impression be a blog post, an article we wrote or a site we set up than our “business card” site. It’s a bit of pre-selling and helps control the number of calls we get.
